Roger Federer to be inducted into Hall of Fame: Tickets sell out in 2 minutes

Roger Federer will get his next big standing ovation on August 28, 2026, when he is inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island. Tickets, starting at $90, sold out in just two minutes. Organizers called the demand “unprecedented,” showing how much fans around the world love Federer.

Originally, around 900 seats were available inside the historic Newport Casino. To accommodate more fans, a nearby 3,600‑seat stadium was opened for an outdoor watch party. Even with the extra space, all 4,500 tickets were gone in minutes. Fans are encouraged to join waitlists for updates.



Federer will be inducted alongside tennis broadcaster Mary Carillo, with a three-day celebration planned. The venue recently had a $3 million renovation to prepare for major inductions, including Federer’s—and possibly Serena Williams’ next year if she stays retired.

Federer, who retired in 2022, is one of tennis’s greatest players and a global icon.
