Somdev Devvarman crashed out in the 2nd round of the Bucharest Challenger after suffering a straight sets mauling by Gero Kretschmer.
Somdev Devvarman crashed out in the 2nd round of the Bucharest Challenger after suffering a straight sets mauling by Gero Kretschmer.
Devvarman, who had downed seventh-seed Dominik Meffert in the first round, lost 1-6, 2-6 to his German opponent in the clay court event.
In the doubles competition, Prakash Amritraj and British partner Richard Bloomfield gave a walkover to their opponents - local favourite Adrian Cruciat and Florin Mergea - in the quarter-final.
The Indo-British pair did not play a single shot in the tournament as they had advanced to the last-eight stage after getting a walkover from Italian pair of Matteo Marrai and Simone Vagnozzi in the first round.
