The 38-year-old Serbian star finds himself in an unfamiliar position. Despite beating Sinner in the previous two Wimbledon meetings, Djokovic has lost their last four matches. Their overall head-to-head now stands at 5-4 in Sinner's favour.

Both players overcame health concerns in their quarter-final matches. Sinner pushed through elbow injury worries to defeat Ben Shelton, while Djokovic hopes to recover from a late fall in his win over Flavio Cobolli.

Djokovic's recent Grand Slam record adds extra pressure. He hasn't won a major since matching Margaret Court's record of 24 titles at the 2023 US Open. He also lost to Alcaraz in the last two Wimbledon finals.
However, Djokovic's Wimbledon experience is unmatched. He will play his record 14th semi-final at the tournament, winning 10 of his previous 13. His last semi-final loss came against Roger Federer in 2012.
The Serbian champion has reached every Wimbledon final since 2018. A win on Friday would match Federer's Open era record of seven straight final appearances at the prestigious tournament.
