WWE has partnered with leading hip hop artists to boost their eve... Read More
WWE have seemingly made it a habit to collaborate with the biggest hip hop artists out there. The company first brought in Future and Metro Boomin to advertise Bad Blood 2024. This was followed by Travis Scott, who was brought in to advertise and promote WrestleMania 41. Now, WWE have even got Cardi B on their side to promote the first ever 2-Night SummerSlam which is set to take place next year.

The announcement was made via a post on Instagram. In said post, Cardi B can be seen having a conversation with WWE star Bianca Belair, which led to the announcement of SummerSlam 2025. The theme song for this PLE will be presented by Cardi B, and it is set to take place in the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The stadium in question has a total capacity of 82,500 so it is quite clear that WWE are expecting quite a sizable reception from SummerSlam. Moreover, the event will be held over two nights which is a first for this PLE, but if we take into account just how many legendary moments have come out of SummerSlam, it makes sense to make it a two night event.

Can we expect more Hip Hop artists to collaborate with WWE?

WWE’s recent collaborations with hip hop artists have been going viral all over social media. Moreover, thanks to the massive influence of these artists, WWE has been able to reach a larger audience. If they continue to follow this strategy of using Hip Hop artists to advertise PLEs, WWE could see their audience growing in due time.

However, even if these artists don’t lead to a direct growth in audience, their work speaks for itself. Now, if Metro Boomin and Future are present at Bad Blood 2024, then we can also expect Travis Scott to be at WrestleMania 41 and for Cardi B to be at SummerSlam 2025. Again, appearances from such big artists who have audiences throughout the globe can prove to be highly beneficial for WWE. Depending on how their strategy pans out, this could be the beginning of a long-running relationship between hip hop and WWE.
