Linda McMahon is back to her political career joining Donald Trump’s administration. After being an active campaigner and advocate for Trump, Linda has reportedly secured her position in the administration. Several outlets reported that the U.S. President-elect has chosen McMahon as education secretary. Trump’s friendship with the McMahon family is not new, he has been good friends with Linda’s husband and former WWE boss Vince McMahon. However, due to controversies surrounding his name, Vince did not take part in Trump’s campaign prior to Trump's victory against Kamala Harris.

Donald Trump names Linda McMahon as secretary of education

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Linda McMahon for the role of education secretary, according to multiple outlets reporting the news. On Tuesday night, Trump revealed that McMahon, a transition team co-chair and former head of the Small Business Administration, would be taking on the position.

"For the past four years, as the Chair of the Board at the America First Policy Institute (AFPI), Linda has been a fierce advocate for Parents’ Rights, working hard at both AFPI and America First Works (AFW) to achieve Universal School Choice in 12 States, giving children the opportunity to receive an excellent Education, regardless of zip code or income," Trump said in a statement (via Reuters).

Trump also shared that he believes in Linda, “As Secretary of Education, Linda will fight tirelessly to expand ‘Choice’ to every State in America, and empower parents to make the best Education decisions for their families.”

Linda McMahon served as head of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019 before leaving to lead the pro-Trump Super PAC, America First Action. At 76, she now chairs the America First Policy Institute which is a think tank she co-founded in 2021 with other former Trump administration figures, including Larry Kudlow, who once led the National Economic Council. The institute focuses on advancing policies that are aligned with Trump’s agenda from his first term in the White House.

As for Trump’s glorious victory over Kamala Harris, he has received support from several WWE stars including Kane, The Undertaker, and Hulk Hogan. Now, with his second term as US President, Trump is set to step into the Oval Office on January 20, 2025.
