After the opening segment with Kevin Owens and CM Punk, WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw Jimmy Uso entering the stage, followed by his opponent Carmelo Hayes. The SmackDown match between these two from two weeks ago was just the beginning of this face-off. And during the go-home episode of SmackDown, just a night before the chaos of Royal Rumble descends upon us, we saw these two go up against each other once more.
Jimmy Uso vs Carmelo Hayes started with a sneak attack
Jimmy Uso is the clever one, but Carmelo Hayes is not one to be easily toyed with. Their fight, though may not be the best of the night, had its moments. It all started with a sneak attack by Hayes last week, when Uso was entering the stage to go after
Kevin Owens, but Uso easily turned things around for him. Security had to get involved and pyr them apart.
Fans had already begun speculating that something was brewing when the two exchanged heated words backstage before Uso made his way out last week. Even before the sneak attack, fans knew this was coming. And how it did! Uso got Hayes on his shoulders while he was trying to climb the rope, but Hayes rolled up the other, making the referee catch him, and Uso reversed the fall to get the win.

The match between
Jimmy Uso and Carmelo Hayes was supposed to take place last week, but it was postponed to accommodate Jimmy Uso vs Kevin Owens. Uso came on during a rant session by KO and hit him because the latter was talking too damn much. But before things could escalate, Owens rolled out of the ring with his belt, much to the amusement of Uso as well as the audience, which included Hollywood star, Matthew McConaughey.
And since that took precedence, Uso and Hayes' fight was shifted to this week. And they delivered well. The fight seemed neck-to-neck for the most part, but Jimmy Uso took the win, albeit there was a bit of trickery involved. Hayes will return for the Royal Rumble tonight, and between The Uso Brothers, while Jey has already declared his participation, Jimmy is yet to give up on the surprise element.
