In the 1970s, Lou Ferrigno made a significant impact in the bodybuilding scene, clinching the IFBB Mr. America and Mr. Universe titles. Although he narrowly missed the Mr. Olympia title in 1974, losing to Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ferrigno’s iconic portrayal of The Hulk, opposite Bill Bixby’s Dr. David Banner, became a defining role of the late '70s and '80s. His legendary performance led to memorable cameos in various Hulk films, including the 2003 adaptation by Ang Lee and the 2008 Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
