They apparently fell in love because of a random encounter at a Starbucks in 2015. Cargill just had a meeting with her manager, who was also the representative of Phillips at the time, when the baseball star entered the room and instantly saw her.


Phillips, being a curious individual, inquired about her with the manager, and this culminated in their initial encounter. At the beginning of their relationship, the two faced the disadvantage of long distance, since Cargill was playing professional basketball in France. Although it was far, they did not switch off; instead, they developed their relationship.
