"Ideas aren’t ignored and shot down": CM Punk on the current WWE Creative Team

CM Punk is one of the most vocal wrestlers that you will come across in the world of professional wrestling. His infamous pipebomb promo which got him fired back in 2011, is still regarded as one of the best promos to this date, and highlighted some major problems that wrestlers had to deal with backstage.

It’s been a long time since that has happened and WWE leadership has changed hands as well. Under the direction of Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, the narrative and the ongoing storylines have taken a newer and a refreshing direction. Recently, the Second City Saint opened up about the current state of the WWE Creative team.

CM Punk talks about current state of the WWE Creative team

During an interview with Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic Con, the Second City Saint shared a lot about how he felt of the current WWE Creative team.

He said, “The cool thing about where we’re at as a company right now, creatively speaking. This is the most fruitful, creative locker room that I think I’ve ever been in where ideas aren’t ignored and shot down, and people are eager to share ideas, you know, so somebody someday could have a brilliant idea that something that I have blinders on and can’t see, and I would be receptive to any of the ideas as long as they’re good.”


He also added that he wouldn’t have left the company 10 years ago if this is how it were being run, and the wrestlers were allowed to share and exchange ideas as freely as it is currently. According to him, his two runs felt like night and day.

As of his second run in the company, CM Punk is yet to hold some gold, and is currently feuding with Drew McIntyre. The two are set to go head to head at SummerSlam so it’ll be a really interesting bout to watch. That aside, it’ll also be interesting to see the direction WWE Creative will be taking with him in the coming days.
