This title is unique because it is defended exclusively on X (formerly known as Twitter). What makes the championship stand out is its format, with matches set within strict time limits. The participating wrestlers must secure a victory as quickly as possible, adding an extra layer of excitement and urgency to the competition.

Recently, Triple H revealed that the tournament to determine the inaugural WWE Speed Women's Champion would soon commence, and the first match took place shortly after his announcement. In the opening bout of the tournament, Lyra Valkyria faced off against IYO SKY. Both competitors were determined to advance, but it was the Damage CTRL member, IYO SKY, who emerged victorious. With this win, she secured her place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The tournament's first round will feature three additional matchups. Blair Davenport is set to square off against Naomi, Elektra Lopez will take on Kairi Sane, and Candice LeRae will battle Piper Niven. Each of these matches will follow the same format, with the stars aiming to win within a three-minute time limit. At the end of the tournament, Triple H himself will present the WWE Speed Women’s Championship to the final victor, crowning the first-ever champion of this fast-paced division.

IYO SKY announces her role as inaugural WWE Speed Women's Champion

IYO SKY secured a quick victory over Valkyria, though the fast-paced format of the match made it anything but simple. Having recently held the WWE Women's Championship, SKY is now setting her sights on claiming a new title. After her win, she addressed the camera while walking up the ramp, making her intentions clear as she set her focus on the WWE Speed Women's Championship.

"I will be... IYO SKY will be the first-ever Women's Speed Champion!" she confidently declared following the match.

Whether her bold prediction will come true remains to be seen, but to make it a reality, she must overcome two more competitors in the tournament.
