The former "Drifter" himself, Elijah (Elias), recently stopped by a K&S WrestleFest signing, where he strummed a few chords on his trusty guitar and reminisced about his time in WWE. Ezekiel’s Redemption Story? Elijah Reveals Intriguing WWE Royal Rumble Clues

During the interview, when asked if Ezekiel would compete in the WWE Royal Rumble, Elijah said he was unable to speak for him. He did reiterate, though, that Ezekiel was making progress toward recovery and might return in the future.

He stated, “I can’t speak on his behalf, but he’s recovering well. He’s getting primed for a comeback. Zeke got involved in the mix for a little while. It was great to see him live out his dream. It was a little bit short-lived. I thought he had a great career ahead of himself. Kevin Owens took care of him, that’s for sure. He’s hanging out in California, working out, staying in shape. He’s rehabbing. He’s still recovering, still on the road back. Maybe one day he makes a comeback. Long recovery. Back injuries are no joke."

Ezekiel's tenure in the WWE was noteworthy. When he made his WWE Raw debut on April 4, 2022, he insisted that he and Elias were two different individuals. After being viciously attacked by Kevin Owens during the August 8, 2022, episode of WWE Raw, Ezekiel sought medical attention at a nearby facility. A few months later, Elias came back and reported that Ezekiel was in a coma in February 2023. In September 2023, Elias was released by WWE. Later, in early 2024, he gave an update on Ezekiel.

Nonetheless, Ezekiel's return to WWE remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure: Elias, with his infectious charisma and undeniable talent, will continue to entertain audiences, one strum at a time.
