WWE legend Hulk Hogan's death investigation officially closed after police confirmed the real cause of death
The Clearwater Police Department has officially closed its investigation into the death of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan. They have officially confirmed that there was no foul play involved and the WWE Hall of Famer died a natural death. Following the declaration, the police have officially closed the probe.
It is to be noted that the Hall of Famer died suddenly due to a cardiac arrest. However, reports suggested he had leukemia, but an autopsy was never done, which raised a lot of eyebrows related to Hogan’s unfortunate demise.
Earlier, following Hulk Hogan’s death, speculation was raised by her daughter, Brooke Hogan, that a possible foul play might have been involved in the WWE icon’s sudden death, which led the Clearwater Police to take the investigation seriously. However, they have clearly ruled out that there was no criminal wrongdoing involved.
WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, whose sudden demise jolted the industry, comes to a close after the Clearwater Police Department has officially ruled out Hogan’s death as natural, and they have closed the probe. As per reports, the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner’s Office had previously determined the death was natural and caused by a heart attack.
In fact, examiners also noted Hogan’s history of leukemia and atrial fibrillation, a heart rhythm condition that raises the risk of serious cardiac events.
“We want to thank the family of Mr. Bollea, Sky, Nick, and Brooke, and their attorney, Kevin Hayslett, for their cooperation. Their willingness to allow our investigators access to very personal information, at a time when they were grieving and struggling, was extremely helpful. We would not have had the legal justification to obtain much of the information without their cooperation,” the Clearwater Police Department said in a statement.
Earlier, Brooke Hogan had accused Hulk Hogan’s medical team of giving him the wrong medications, including double doses, and that hospital nurses tried to take unauthorized photos of the wrestling legend while he was unconscious. This raised serious privacy concerns and speculations related to his death.
During the interview, Brooke described the level of care her father received before passing, and it wasn’t good. She revealed that she and Hulk’s ex-wife, Jennifer McDaniel, were handling most of his care personally, doing everything they could to keep him alive and well.
The incident then prompted the police to launch an investigation into his death; in fact, they earlier confirmed that there was no evidence of foul play or anything suspicious related to Hulk Hogan’s passing, which actually came to be true. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s funeral took place on August 5, 2025, at his Clearwater residence in Florida, and he was laid to rest in a private funeral in Clearwater, Florida, 12 days after his death.
