The 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble match saw the addition of multiple new superstars on the latest edition of SmackDown, making it a highly star-studded field for the 30-woman over-the-top-rope battle royal.
The WWE Universe is gearing up for one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year, the Royal Rumble. The 2025 edition of the show will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana, Indianapolis. Ever since the road to the event began, the Men’s and Women’s Rumble matches have taken shape over the last few weeks.
However, on the January 24, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, multiple new participants announced their participation in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. This included stars from both RAW and SmackDown, alongside one illustrious name who is set to make their return at the event after being on the sidelines for over a year.
Who are confirmed to compete in the Women’s Royal Rumble match?
The first woman confirmed to be a part of the 2025 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble was the winner of last year’s match, Bayley. The Role Model looks to regain momentum after losing a title match to Tiffany Stratton on SmackDown last week.
On this week’s edition of SmackDown, the field was filled with multiple top names in the same segment. The first one was Nia Jax, who is looking to win the opportunity to hold both WWE and Women’s World titles. Following that, Liv Morgan and her wall of protection, Liv Morgan came out next to declare themselves for the Rumble match. Next up, the current WWE Women’s tag team champions Bianca Belair and Naomi were the ones to announce their entry into the match.
Apart from them, the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble will also see the participation of the returning Charlotte Flair. The same episode of SmackDown saw a new vignette being aired in which Flair confirmed her return to the ring in the Rumble match at the namesake event. This will be Charlotte’s first match since suffering a knee injury back in December 2023.
Moreover, she, Bianca Belair and Bayley are the only confirmed entrants for the match who have a chance to become the first-ever two-time Women’s Royal Rumble bout. With new names confirmed for the 30-woman over-the-top-rope melee, the field is now looking stacked with just a week left before the event. So it will be interesting to see more names added over the next week and the one superstar who will reign supreme in the women’s rumble match.
