WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. The night saw the hometown hero Sami Zayn emerge victorious and earn a major opportunity. Apart from that, the event saw heated tensions between Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu, a major return, and an epic clash between two of the most accomplished wrestlers in history.

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Top Performers

Sami Zayn and AJ Styles emerged as top performers for this edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Winners. Their stellar showing and crowd reactions put them at the top and earned them significant victories at the end of their matches.

Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu attacked Cody Rhodes, who was on the top rope, as he was making his entrance. The match kicked off to a heated start as there was major bad blood between the duo. The match never started officially as both men continued to brawl all over the arena and throw punches while security tried to restore control. Things came to an end with the appearance of Drew McIntyre, who threw Fatu off a case onto a table and hit a low blow on Rhodes, ending the match in a No Contest.

Rhea Ripley & IYO Sky vs. Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez

This match was contested for Rhiyo’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. It was a back-and-forth encounter between both teams with high-stakes involved, and they produced a stellar contest. The bout saw the return of Stephanie Vaquer, who fought off with Raquel Rodriguez. As they went to the back, Liv Morgan hit the Oblivion on IYO, but Ripley tagged herself in and hit a running knee Riptide combination to secure the win and retain the titles.

AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

This was one of the most captivating matches of the night. The two iconic foes, Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles, fought with everything in their arsenal and gave a highly exciting match that got massive cheers from the audience. The match ended with Nakamura missing a Kinshasha attempt and Styles hitting the Phenomenal Forearm to win the match. After the match, Nakamura and Styles shook hands and embraced in a show of respect.

No.1 contender’s Fatal 4-Way match

The match took place between Randy Orton, Trick Williams, Sami Zayn, and Damian Priest, with the No.1 contender spot for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble on the line. It was a stellar showdown with a mixed blood of young talent and tenured veterans, and a huge opportunity at stake. The bout came to an end when Priest hit a forearm on Williams, and Zayn connected with a Helluva Kick on Priest to secure the victory in his hometown.
