WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio Admits He Never Imagined His Son Dominik as a Villain

WWE Star Dominik Mysterio has quickly become one of the most disliked personalities in professional wrestling, surprising many fans and even his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Recently Rey Mysterio revealed that he initially had doubts about Dominik's ability to play a villainous character. However, it turns out that Dominik’s mother always had faith in his potential to excel as a heel in WWE.

In a recent interview on the "Notsam Wrestling" podcast, Rey revealed about his son Dominik Mysterio and mentioned that he had doubts about Dominik's ability to play a negative character.

Rey Mysterio Said -

"I, for some reason, always saw in my head, in my vision, that he was going to be bigger than his dad. In what way I don't know, but he was going to bring something different to the table," he began. "Me, personally, I never saw him as the bad guy. I never saw him as the heel. My wife, despite our differences, she saw the complete opposite. She, kind of [knew] ... and I guess moms know their kids better than the father. My wife always said that she saw him being like the bad guy. Obviously we didn't know to what extent." The WWE Hall of Famer expressed his joy at having teamed up with his son, making history as the first father-son tag team champion in WWE. He treasures that moment deeply but also believes that Dominik’s success might not have reached the same heights if they were still teaming up.
