Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock might be fully focused on his Hollywood career but he continues to command an enviable fan base in the world of professional wrestling.
World Wrestling Entertainment (
WWE) gave him the ultimate stardom before he also became one of the top earning movie actors globally and time and again, he has made sporadic appearances in the ring.
His last appearance inside the squared circle was at the WrestleMania 32 when he defeated Eric Rowan in record six seconds. He continues to whet the appetite with his off-screen appearances and the fans cannot wait for him to get back and wrestle.
So, when he was interacting with fans at Stan Lee's L.A. Comic-Con recently, the inevitable questions regarding his WWE career began popping up. And one of them particularly was interesting. A fan enquired which current superstars he would like to have a dream match with and Johnson responded with three names.
The first was his old rival
Triple H, the second
Brock Lesnar
and the third
Roman Reigns who also happens to be his first cousin. "One would be Triple H, The Game. The other would be The Beast, Brock Lesnar. The other one would be a guy that actually just needs my foot in his a**, Roman Reigns. Yeah," was his blunt reply.
While The Rock has fought with Triple H and Lesnar in the past, he is yet to face Reigns. Interestingly, Reigns has already talked about the possibility of the face-off in the past. "I can only see me and Rock going at WrestleMania. Not only because of his schedule, but just the level of that match and the level of superstar that he is and you know, where I'm trying to get," he told the Mirror in an interview last month.
