Oppo to launch R9, R9 Plus smartphones on March 17

NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to launch its flagship devices R9 and R9 Plus in China on March 17. Last week, both the handsets were seen on the Chinese certification site TENAA.


Talking about the specifications, the Oppo R9 flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by an octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage of the smartphone stands at 32GB which can be expanded further up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and offers hybrid dual sim functionality.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 16MP rear and font facing camera and a fingerprint sensor for security. The connectivity options of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and houses a 2,850 mAh battery with VOOC Rapid Charge technology.


On the other hand, the Oppo R9 Plus features a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by an octa-core processor. The device offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 128GB via microSD card.


The handset incorporates a fingerprint sensor and sports a 16MP rear and front facing shooter. The connectivity attributes of the device include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and packs a 4,120 mAh battery with VOOC Rapid Charge technology.
