How to download Netflix shows and movies to watch them offline

If you are preparing for a long flight or going to a spot where you are not sure you’ll get a speedy Wi-Fi, downloading your favourite Netflix content is the best way to keep entertainment uninterrupted. Here we provide a step-by-step guide to help you know about finding, saving and managing your offline library.

To use the download feature, you must have the latest version of the Netflix app installed on your Android phones/tablets, iPhone or iPad. It is to be noted that not every title on Netflix is available for download due to licensing rights. To find those that are, look for the Download icon (a downward-pointing arrow).


Step-by-Step instructions to download Netflix shows and movies offline:

• Open the App
• Navigate to the My Netflix tab
• Select Downloads
• Browse available titles
• Tap See What You Can Download.

Start the Download

• For Movies, select the Download button on the description page.
• For TV shows, tap the download icon next to individual episodes, or select Download Season to save the entire set at once.

Once your titles are saved, you can watch them without an internet connection by:

• Open the Netflix app and tap the Downloads tab.
• Find your title and hit Play.
• Note that downloads with higher maturity ratings will be hidden while using a Kids profile.
