India AI Impact Summit 2026: Google CEO Sundar Pichai arrives in India, shares online post
India AI Impact Summit 2026 is being held in New Delhi. The expo runs from February 16 to February 20 and will key notes from global tech CEOs including Google CEO Sundar Pichai who has arrived in the country. Sharing a post on microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter), Pichai wrote: “Nice to be back in India for the AI Impact Summit - a very warm welcome as always and the papers looked great too:)”. According to the official website of India AI Impact Summit 2026, Sundar Pichai will deliver his keynote speech on February 20 at 9:30am.
Google recently announced a capex plan of $185 billion in AI. Ahead of his India visit, Sundar Pichai told Economic Times that Google wants to be a partner to India across the AI stack, at an “extraordinary time of hyper progress in a pivotal technology.”
In the virtual interview, he said that “We are coming with a very clear message: we want to be a partner to India. I believe India is going to have an extraordinary trajectory and opportunity with AI. Our role can span the full stack- —providing the infrastructure and compute needed for this transformation, investing in the sustainable energy required to power it, offering open models and open datasets, conducting research with local partners and creating opportunities for the country’s talent base.”
Highlighting the tech giant’s infrastructure plans, Pichai said: “We are partnering with Reliance Jio to build a cloud region. We’re working with energy providers across the ecosystem, including renewable energy projects such as a 150 MW project in Rajasthan, and partnerships with companies like Adani Group and CleanMax”.
“Beyond infrastructure, we are building real AI products and solutions for Indian consumers and businesses,” he said.
