Tesla Bull and investor Ross Gerber is once again criticising Tesla CEO Elon Musk. This time Gerber has targeted the close relationship between Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump. Gerber points out Musk’s close relationship with President Donald Trump as a factor in what he calls the “mess” surrounding America’s electric vehicle (EV) rollout. In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Gerber accused Musk of being “personally partially responsible” for slowing the US transition to sustainable transportation.

“Meanwhile Elon is personally partially responsible for now DECELERATING the transition to sustainable transportation and energy, at least in the US." - I think this capsulizes many people's thoughts on tesla/elon. $tsla,” wrote Gerber.




He also feels that the political ties of Elon Musk have contributed to the rollback pf EV momentum in the US.

Elon Musk donated more than $250 million to Trump’s 2024 campaign, playing a key role in securing his second term. Since returning to office, Trump has rolled back several clean energy initiatives, claiming to end Joe Biden’s “war on internal combustion engines.” His administration has introduced policies that critics say weaken EV adoption while strengthening traditional auto manufacturing.

Gerber argues Musk’s alignment with Trump has undermined Tesla’s mission of accelerating sustainable energy, even as the company continues to expand globally.

Ross Gerber calls Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) system ‘problematic’

Ross Gerber recently criticised CEO Elon Musk’s claims about its car company’s autonomous driving ambitions. In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) Gerber accused Musk of making ‘hallucinations’ during conference calls that fail to materialise, pointing Tesla’s missed goal of launching driverless Robotaxis by the end of 2025.

Gerber emphasised that Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system remains ‘problematic’, despite offering Level 2 autonomy. While he previously praised improvements in the software, he has since highlighted persistent issues. “The robotaxis are still just Ubers. The robot is far from working. Car sales are falling,” Gerber wrote, adding that Tesla’s lofty valuation — with a price‑to‑earnings ratio near 300 — is unsustainable. Recently, Musk said that the FSD will now be a subscription-only service.
