How to share audio with two Bluetooth headphones on iPhone and iPad

Sharing audio between two Bluetooth headphones on an iPhone or iPad might seem like a challenge, especially after Apple removed the headphone jack. However, with the introduction of iOS 13.2, the tech giant has simplified this process with the Share Audio feature.

The Share Audio feature allows users to enjoy the same audio simultaneously on two different Bluetooth devices, provided they have Apple's H1 or W1 chip, such as Apple AirPods or the latest Beats headphones.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you use this convenient feature:

1. Pair the headphones
Begin by heading to the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone or iPad. Pair both headphones one by one.

2. Connect a headphoneOnce paired, connect one of the headphones to your device and start playing any audio or video.

3. Access Control CenterSwipe down from the top right corner of your iPhone or swipe up from the bottom of the screen on iPhones with a Home button to access the Control Center.

4. Select Music optionsWithin the Control Center, locate and tap on the Music option. This will display the currently connected device playing the audio.

5. Activate Share AudioLook for the Share Audio option and tap on it. Your iPhone will automatically detect compatible headphones and prompt you to share the music with them.

6. Initiate sharingTap the Share Audio button to connect the second headphone.

7. Adjust volumeOnce connected, Apple provides the option to manually adjust the volume of each device individually.

Apple iOS 18: Expected features
