Congress leaders and affiliated accounts posted an image that showed an old man, armed with a stick and aiming a brick at a gun-wielding policeman. Using hashtags like #kishanVirodhiNarendraModi, these leaders implied that the photo was clicked recently during a farmer’s protest.
These posts were tweeted after there was an uproar in parliament while passing three agriculture related bills. The three bills that were passed are the Farmers' Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill.
Congress leaders Archana Dalmia and Satveer Choudhary, official handle of Mumbai Youth Congress, etc were among those who tweeted this photo with the same caption.
