It has got nothing to do with farmer protests or rallies in India.
VERIFICATION AND METHODOLOGYOn closer inspection, we observed a large minaret like structure in the background (circled in red), which appeared like Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan.
Then using Google Chrome’s InVID extension, we broke the viral video into keyframes and ran reverse-image search on them via different search engines.
It led us to the same video posted by YouTube channel ‘Madni Digital Sound Islamabad’ on November 20, 2020.
Titled ‘Live view of Janaza khadim Hussain rizvi’, the video had the exact same visuals and length.
On digging further, we found another video uploaded to the official YouTube channel of
Pakistan’s renowned news outlet 24 News HD.
Titled ‘More Than 2 Lac World Attendees At Khadim Rizvi Funeral’, it was uploaded on November 21, 2020. At 7:18 in the video one can see the same visuals as shared in viral clipping above.
Times of India too reported about Rizvi’s funeral in Lahore (hence Minar-e-Pakistan in the background) and its impact on his extremist movement in November last year.
VERDICTTimes Fact Check has found that a drone shot from the funeral of fanatic Pakistani cleric Khadim Hussain Rizvi is being shared with the false claim that it shows huge turnout of farmers to attend Kisan Mahapanchayat.
