The annual Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore is Asia’s counterpoint to the Munich Security Conference. Both events are attended by the world’s military and political elite.

Last year’s Shangri-La Dialogue came days after Operation Sindoor. For India it was a public relations disaster. An aggressive Bloomberg reporter asked Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan whether India had lost any Rafale fighter jets during the four-day war as Pakistan claimed.
