JPMorgan offered $1mn before sex assault, racial abuse, career threats lawsuit against female banker

A former JPMorgan banker of Nepalese descent alleged that a senior executive coerced him into “non-consensual and humiliating sex acts" while threatening his career and subjecting him to racial abuse. According to a WSJ report, the bank unsuccessfully tried settling the case before the lawsuit was filed

A Wall Street lawsuit involving allegations of coercion, sexual assault and racial abuse has deepened after fresh details emerged about settlement negotiations between JPMorgan Chase and the complainant.

The Wall Street Journal reported that America’s largest bank had offered $1 million earlier this year to settle claims brought by a former banker of Nepalese descent against senior executive Lorna Hajdini.
