At least 20 people were reportedly killed in violence triggered by protests over economic and political grievances, prompting India to urge the international community to hold Islamabad accountable for its alleged ‘misdeeds and abuses’ in PoK

For decades, Pakistan has criticised India’s handling of Jammu and Kashmir. While the Union Territory has seen visible development under India’s democratic framework, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) tells a very different story, marked by recurring unrest and allegations of rights abuses.
