The accident victims were returning from the marraige ceremony of a COD, employee Surendra Awasthi's son Narendra Awasthi who is a tempo driver.

Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) on Wednesday seized two shops to recover general tax pending against them. A team led by zonal officer Rajeev Shukla and tax superintendant Vinay Kumar Maurya went to two houses of ward number 15 to recover pending general house tax to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakhs. When the house owners failed to pay the tax the team sealed two shops.

Three people died after a fire broke out at a private hospital operating from the ground floor of a residential building in Shahganj area of Agra on Wednesday morning.
