A dispute over a phone call escalated into violence in Bhojpur district, where a 25-year-old man was allegedly shot by his elder brother's brother-in-law. The victim, sonu thakur, reportedly intervened when the accused was talking to a girl known to him, leading to an argument and the shooting. Thakur sustained a bullet injury and is receiving treatment.

The survivor protested, and the accused promised to marry her. The victim was being sexually abused since then on the pretext of marriage. A rape case was registered and further investigations are underway.

Five men have been booked for allegedly offering a lift to two men from Manesar in their car and robbing them of cash and valuables on Saturday. The gang dumped the two at Sector 50 after robbing them, according to police.
