Located on the right bank of the River Seine, it just takes about an hour to reach this spot. For art aficionados, the good news is that Giverny is the home of French artist Claude Monet, and it is this place that has inspired him in his art and water lily paintings. Giverny is definitely fit for a spring time visit, which is around May. You can tour Monet’s house and take photos of the amazing gardens while you are there. They management here upkeeps the Japanese water garden that Monet himself had built. Want more Monet? When you are back in Paris, check out the Orangerie museums where many of his works are displayed.
