For a taste of Balinese food in a more stylish and upmarket environment, try Merah Putih in Seminyak. This is a fabulous restaurant that opened in 2013 and aims to celebrate Indonesia’s finest cuisine, culture and craftsmanship.

The architecture is stunning and the setting is gorgeous. The menu is split into traditional and modern dishes, both served with flair and beautifully presented. Classic Indonesian dishes are served alongside modern, creative dishes that experiment with flavours and spices from across Bali and the rest of Indonesia.

You can try small or large portions and the emphasis here is on sharing, which makes this a perfect place to try a bit of everything in a place where the environment is just as sumptuous as the food. One of the very best fine dining and Indonesian food experiences in Bali.
