A seafood retailer is perhaps not the most likely place for a visit but at Bevi Seafood, there’s a valid reason. A no-nonsense place, the outlet is located at the corner of North Carollton Avenue and Bienville Street in Mid City. It is also certainly not for the squeamish, but seafood lovers will probably not mind it too much. Specialising in produce that is very fresh, the litter attached eatery has the advantage of dishing out food that is made from really fresh produce. Especially popular here are the po’boys made with shrimp, crawfish, oysters or soft shell crabs. The crisp and crunchy batter fried seafood is teamed with fresh veggies and creamy mayo to make for a memorable po’boy.
