Amidst the medley of bars in Palermo, Congo may be hard to spot behind an unmarked brown door, but it stands out for its unassuming charm. Its greatest asset is the expansive patio, which could be one of the best outdoor drinking spots to sink some stiff cocktails on a sticky Argentine night.

The lounges inside have leather seating and a cosy feel, with a remarkable old tree protruding through the roof. Sit under its boughs and sip on the particularly good mojito with frutas rojas (red fruits).
