Yes, 2017 might be UK’s snowiest winter in 27 years. This has been predicted by David king, 78, an amateur climatologist, who claims that he can forecast about weather. He further said that the snow will possibly hit the United Kingdom in January and the freezing conditions might continue till the month of March.
Mr. King is a retired constable of the Metropolitan Police, and to predict weather, he studies birds, animal behaviour, plants and uses a 1000-year-old moon chart. He mentioned that he has been forecasting weather for the past 40 years and is quite confident as far as predictions are concerned. He even said that he has been helping farmers and all those whose profession rely on weather.

To further support his claim, David King explained that the predominant nature of weather during the month of January is cold, blizzards will start, to be followed by frost freezing the snow. Moreover, according to his theory, two full moons within a month is not a good sign, and signals a wet month; wet falling as snow for the region. Therefore, the conditions will sadly not improve till February and even continue till the month of March.
But the Met Office dismissed such predictions on the basis of being ‘unscientific’ and said, “There is every likelihood we will see some snow in January and it will be cold at times—but that’s winter for you.”
