Built in pre-Incan times, it sheds light on the architectural precision and knowledge of those ancient times. Named after one of the most revered deities in Peru—the creator God Pacha Kamaq, this site overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The view of the ocean from the Pyramid of the Sun is actually breathtaking. There are numerous old buildings and temples spread out across the area. There is also a museum, which helps tourists acquire a deeper understanding of the ruins. Till day nearly twenty pyramids have been unearthed. If you are interested in history and architecture, then this would prove to be an ideal excursion for you.
