Ayodhya is all set to witness grand Diwali celebrations this year, and the state government is planning to make it bigger than its two previous editions. Latest reports suggest that from a special deepotsav (festival of lamps) will be organised from October 24 to 26, and it will create a new world record. Read less
The Department of Culture is also planning to stage Ramleela in five countries, among which the one in China and the Philippines will be special. While artists from Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia will showcase their art through their paintings on the Ramayana, actors from the state will be participating in Thailand’s Ramleela.
Referring to this development, Tourism Secretary Jitendra Kumar said that work is in full swing on Ram Ki Paidi, and that programmes and events will be held across the holy city this time.
