Both the churches were designed by British architect Henry Medd, after a competition organised by the British government. Built of white Dholpur stone and red sandstone, it has a semi-Palladian design. The interiors have impressive arches and a vaulted ceiling, and house a historic pipe organ built in 1931. The church is especially festive on Christmas and Easter, when its choir performs carols and musical concerts in English, Hindi and Tamil.
