Delhi Metro’s new Kalkaji-Botanical Garden line will cut down the travel time between Noida and south Delhi. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the latest Delhi Metro Magenta line on the day of Christmas.
The best part of this project is that the latest generation of trains that require no drivers will run on this route. An advanced Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling tool will work here on a frequency of 90 to 100 seconds. But this will only happen after two or three years and during the initial stage the trains will be driven by the drivers.

As of now, people travelling to south Delhi from Noida need to change trains at Mandi House Metro Station (Blue Line to Violet Line). But after the introduction of new route, commuters will get direct access to Kalkaji Mandir Metro Station, which will reduce travel time for commuters by around 45 minutes.
As the entire passage starts functioning properly, (Botanical Garden till Janakpuri West which is nearly 38.23 km), people travelling from Noida to Gurgaon will have to change at Hauz Khas. Also, the Botanical Garden will be the Delhi metro's first-ever inter-change station located outside the borders of Delhi.
Well, we are excited for the new Magenta Line and hope it will help commuters in long run.
