Here, we have Delhi's most romantic spots lined for you, covering the best of places that are perfect for everything from a first date to a lazy picnic in the outdoors.
Amrit Udyan
Amrit Udyan, the new name for Delhi's famous Mughal Gardens, is one of the prettiest places in the capital. Of course, it also has an air of exclusivity around as the gardens are set inside the President's official house. This year, the gardens will be open from January 31 till the month of March.
Lodhi Gardens
The beautiful Lodhi Gardens are set in the heart of the city, spread over a massive 90 acres. This is one of the greenest patches in the capital and is great for long walks, a nice picnic, or a causal date. Other than the lush greenery around, it also houses the beautifully built Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad.
Humayun's Tomb
While Red Fort is the name that usually comes to mind when you think about the best of Delhi's architecture, Humayun's Tomb will take you by surprise. Again, it is great for a casual date or if you are a couple that loves outdoors and are craving to go out after January's rather bitter spell of winter.
Sunder Nursery
If you are wondering where to go on your first date in Delhi, Sunder Nursery might just do the trick. The place is pretty, has a lot of beautiful sights so you won't have an awkward silence with your date, and comes with a nice cafe inside for a rather impromptu brunch or a somber evening.
Hauz Khas Lake & Garden
This is an old-timer's favourite. While you might spot a lot of young couples hanging out around here, Hauz Khas has not lost its charms. This should definitely be your go-to for a Valentine's date if you like long strolls, a beautiful place and some of Delhi's best restaurants around.
Purana Qila
This is one of Delhi's oldest forts and you can have a breezy afternoon date here. If you are a couple that loves history, architecture and finer things in life, Purana Qila can be a nice romantic spot. A few blocks down, you will find Cafe Lota, great to grab a quick bite or a scrumptious meal.
Couples often go here for boating as well.
