Breathtaking views of snow-capped Himalayan ranges, vast expanses of green meadows and thick pine, cedar, and rhododendron forest make Dhanaulti an exotic hideaway destination. Located just 325 km away from the capital city of Delhi, it’s a small village spread in an area of one kilometre. It’s an ideal place for writers, poets and artists who want to spend some quiet days away from crowd. Take a quiet stroll on a nature trail with magnificent views of Himalayas while warm rays of sun caress you and cool breeze kisses you. Sit on some high cliff watching the valley below and spend some time with yourself. In the evening, cosy up near the bonfire and enjoy stargazing and icy cool weather. Eco-parks—Amber and Dhara—in Dhanaulti, developed recently by the Forest Department of Uttarakhand, are also quite popular here. These parks house a protected patch of a forest containing deodar trees and provides employment to more than 50 local young boys and girls. There is an entry fee of Rs 15 for Adults and Rs 10 for Children.
