A must-visit for tourists, the Dhuandhar Falls is one of the most important points of interest here in Jabalpur. The word is a combination of the words Dhuan meaning smoke, and Dhar meaning flow. The waterfall is located at Bhedaghat, which is about 30 km away from Jabalpur. Located on Narmada River, the waterfall is 30 m high, and is magnificent to look at. The best time to visit here is during Sharad Purnima (September to October), when the very famous Narmada Mahotsava festival is celebrated. You can also take a boat ride when here, which is one of the best experiences of Jabalpur. You can go to the Dhuandhar Falls from the east bank, or the west bank of Narmada River, as both options are open. There is also the opportunity to see the other side of Dhaundhar Falls, but for this you will have to go to Bhedaghat and take the Cable Car Service. This is also where you will find the Bhedaghat marble rocks.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
