All-women rescue teams will be deployed at the beaches of Dubai very soon and 12 female personnel are being trained to do the job. The move was announced by the Dubai Police while addressing a press conference. This decision has been initiated after taking into account the increasing cases of drowning in the sea of late.
“We are keen to provide safe beaches for people away from drowning incidents and other troubles. This campaign will help educate beachgoers about what to do when they go to the beaches and not to swim when there are high waves or bad weather,” said Major-General Ahmed bin Thani, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Ports Affairs.
