This occurrence is a daily thing at this destination, and the locals are much aware of it. This strange beach is also loved by sea creatures. It plays home to horseshoe crabs, red crabs and other sea animals; so much so that it is quite common to find a crab crawling on the beach shore. Naturally, the local delicacy of this place is seafood; more so, the Oriya-styled fish.

How to reach Chandipur?
Board a flight to Bhubaneshwar and then take a private taxi to reach Chandipur. It is best visited between November and March. Tourists can stay at local guest houses and resorts at a tariff of INR 700 - 3,000 per night.
