Sri Ganganagar town in Rajasthan located on the banks of Sutlej River. It lies close to the Thar Desert and also known as the food basket of Rajasthan. Due to its large Punjabi population, Sri Ganganagar is also called the Punjab of Rajasthan. There are a few prominent sites in Sri Ganganagar that are worth visiting, and of them, one such site is Hindumalkot Border.
To reach Sri Ganganagar by air, take the flight to Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport in Amritsar and then take a taxi to Sri Ganganagar. It takes 4 hours’ drive from Amritsar airport to reach the destination. Alternatively, Sri Ganganagar has its own railway station which is well linked to all the major North Indian cities. Private bus operators and Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation operate their buses from different districts of Rajasthan and other nearby states for Sri Ganganagar.
