For the said task, the Sri Lankan Prime Minister has even appointed a task force that will be working on the ground level. The proposal for visa-free entry will then be first implemented during off-season months following recommendations from the task force.
Further, all visitors to Sri Lanka are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation before their arrival. And on the basis of reciprocity visitors from Seychelles, Singapore and Maldives are exempt from the ETA, who can collect a visa on arrival free of charge.
