One of the eastern seaboard islands of Thailand, Koh Larn also has the nickname of Coral Island. About 4 km in length and 2 km in width, the island is hilly and is covered with tropical forests. It is a great getaway from our hectic lives.The highest point on the island is about 180 m. Two small villages are also located there, by the name Ban Krok Makhan and Ban Ko Lan. They have restaurants and lodgings. Ferries connect Ko Lan to the mainland. A ferry ride would take approximately 45 min.
Activities on the island include jet skiing, banana boat, parasailing behind speedboat and swimming in tropical waters.
Here are also restaurants that serve you catch of the day in the form of delectable seafood. Have your food either in the restaurant or even on the beach lounger.
The island also has many resorts having budget rooms as well as luxury rooms.
If you want to have a good look around the island, you can rent a bike for a day and ride your heart out. You can also opt for a guided tour. Island tour can cost you 400 Baht.
