There are more than a couple reasons to visit this historic city including the fact that it is Scotland’s heritage capital. It was here where the wars of independence where both fought and won. The castle is the star attraction here, perched above the city and in excellent condition. It’s recommended to take a guided tour where interpreters in period dress bring the story of the town to life. If you want to get some exercise and see some incredible views, climb the 246 steps up to Loch Lomond from the Forth bridges. Stirling’s old town is full of cobbled roads, historic churches and shops that give a feeling as if you’ve stepped back in time. Make sure to walk along the Back Wall which is a scenic pathway around the castle. Along with all of this are charming accommodations, unique restaurants and the Scottish hospitality one would expect.Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
