And since this has been continuing for some days, roads to leading up to the hills have been choked due to over-traffic, forcing people to drive back before reaching their destination. As per the officials, this might force people to drive some extra distance, which will help them to save their precious time and reduce jam too. The vehicles will be able to enter the town via the national highway only from the south side, and entry from other roads has been stopped.
The magistrate also mentioned that as parking has become a major problem in Manali, some space in available parking lots will be kept reserved for tourists. And the police will be taking strict action on idle parking and will tow away such vehicles.
