According to health officials in the country, the respiratory virus has already infected one in Washington state, which has increased the concerns. Also, the number of infected people by Coronavirus is increasing in China at a high rate.
Travellers arriving at O'Hare from Asia informed that there was a sign at the airport, saying “If you're coming from Wuhan let us know. If you have a fever let us know”.
Screening at the O'Hare Airport is focusing mainly on those travelling through Wuhan, China, where the deadly virus first originated at a food market. The screeners or health officials are looking for those suffering from fever, cough and shortness of breath as the new virus infects the respiratory system in humans.
Apparently, this one is only the seventh identified coronavirus infecting humans as per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The common symptoms of Coronaviruses are headache, cough, runny nose, sore throat and fever.
However, those suffering from severe Coronaviruses can experience illnesses such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) or Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS).
In China, the virus has killed 17 till now, and around 570 people are infected, as per updated reports.
