Have you ever been to a museum of words? Washington DC is soon going to open up a museum that is dedicated to words. Planet Word is an interactive museum is going to open in Washington DC in October 2020 after getting delayed due to the pandemic. It is located in the Franklin School and is going to be a great institution to teach us all about spoken, sung, and written words. Interestingly, it was on the rooftop of this Franklin School where Alexander Graham Bell had made his first wireless transmission with the help of his photophone.
While excited to open the museum in October, the need for safety is not lost in the museum authorities. All measures have been taken to make the experience a safe one for visitors.
Some of the exciting things you can experience at the museum include, painting a scene using words, to listening to a Word Wall that will tell you how a particular word came into the english language. Of course, there are word games as well, challenges for you and your friends. Learn all about sign language, and the language of other cultures too at the first word museum.
The museum also has a gift shop, puzzle room, classrooms, and auditorium.
