Himachal Pradesh tourism is looking to get an upgrade in ecotourism, as the Himachal Pradesh government is planning to develop 113 sites as destinations for ecotourism. The government will develop nature parks and herbal gardens in order to achieve this.
The government is looking to call tourists to explore its virgin destinations and help rural areas get an increased economic activity. The state of Himachal Pradesh has tremendous potential in tourism, as Union Minister K.J. Alphons noted, and also said that entrepreneurs should involve themselves in developing the potential of tourism in Himachal Pradesh.
The state of Himachal Pradesh is known for numerous destinations, especially visited during the summer months. Its beautiful hill stations include Shimla, Dharamshala, Kasauli, and Dalhousie, among others. Himachal Pradesh is also popular as a trekking destination.
